Apex’s Suprock To Speak On User-Friendly Podium 2.0 At SSP
New SaaS will pave the way for regular folks to publish interactive, responsive books, articles, quizzes and study aids on the Web
HERNDON, VA – May 16, 2014 – Greg Suprock, Head of Solutions Architecture, Apex Content Solutions, will speak on the next generation of Podium®, a groundbreaking, cloud-based, direct-access software that greatly simplifies the creation of adaptable, interactive e-books, at the Society for Scholarly Publishing’s annual meeting May 30 in Boston, Mass, Apex announced today.
Apex CoVantage will soon release the next generation Podium® technology – in the Software as a Service (SaaS) model. Podium lets users with no technical expertise – even authors of books and articles – create responsive style sheets and interactive quizzes for the development of EPUB and Web-based products. The Web service allows e-books to flow smoothly on everything from phones to tablets to desktop computers.
“A highlight of this next generation of Podium is that it speeds up the production of interactive quizzes,” Mr. Suprock says. “It eliminates a lot of cost because it is very standardized. This gives people much more direct access to the technology that will improve their EPUB display. Live previews let users test interactive quizzes before delivery. The software saves every quiz and study aid created, making changes simple.”
