HERNDON, VA – January 28, 2015 – Apex CoVantage announced today that has partnered with the Public Library of Science (PLOS) to develop and implement their scientific journal publishing workflow.
Apex will provide production services for all PLOS journals leveraging its web-based, production management system, ProTrak™. ProTrak integrates global teams and provides a collaborative work space for PLOS, Apex, and authors to manage their work and track progress in real-time.
ProTrak, combined with Apex’s advanced XML-based workflow, TrueXML™, enables PLOS to substantially accelerate “time-to-market” for its online publications. In addition, PLOS will leverage PACE™, Apex’s user-friendly technology that gives authors the ability to easily check and enhance graphics prior to article submission.
